Zirconium dioxide
Zirconium dioxide (chemical formula: ZrO2) is the main oxide of zirconium, usually white odorless and odorless crystals, insoluble in water, hydrochloric acid and dilute sulfuric acid. It usually contains a small amount of hafnium dioxide. The chemical properties are not active, but the properties of high melting point, high resistivity, high refractive index and low coefficient of thermal expansion make it an important refractory material, ceramic insulating material and ceramic opacifier are also the main raw materials for artificial drilling. The band gap is about 5-7 eV. [1]
